Jeffrey Steven Taylor, age 59, of Charlotte, NC, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2025. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He was born in Jackson, Michigan where he learned to love the great outdoors hunting and hiking around his family's property. After graduating from Michigan State University, he moved to Washington D.C. to work for the United States Secret Service. After 6 years in Washington, Jeff, his wife Jenny and their daughter Samantha moved to Charlotte, N.C. to begin working for the Charlotte Police Department. Soon after moving Benjamin arrived and the family was complete. Jeff was kind, patient, funny, loyal, responsible, brave, honest and true. He loved hiking, biking, fishing and hunting. He loved his work family, his church family, old friends, and new friends. But most of all he loved his family. His absence will be forever felt by all. Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife Jenny of 33 years; loving children, Samantha and Benjamin; his father and mother Joe and Betty Taylor; his siblings and their spouses, Linda Taylor, Angie (Taylor) and Chad Ruger, and Randy and Carolyn Taylor; as well as Maude and Denny Phillips, Sarah and Paul Lindsay, Sam Rieder and Janie Wooten. His memory lives on with his nieces and nephews, Josh, Brad and Whitney. On his wife's side: Emma, Max, Sam, Melina, Nick, Elizabeth, Claire, Hannah, and Chin Lee. His legacy will carry on forever reminding us that we control our attitudes. We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. A Memorial Service to celebrate Jeff's life will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM in St. John's Episcopal Church, 1623 Carmel Rd., Charlotte. Interment will be private at a later date.

So sorry for your loss. Jeff took us on a tour of the Secret Service when I was a kid and that was the highlight of the entire vacation to the D.C area. He was always so kind and seemed to be smiling all the time.
