Jeffrey Shane "Jeff" Thomas

Funeral service for Jeffrey Shane "Jeff" Thomas, 58, of Piedmont will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until time of service. Jeff passed away Friday at his home. Survivors include his children, Matthew Thomas (Melissa) of Piedmont, Andrea Thomas of Anniston, and Adam Thomas of Anniston; two grandchildren, Ariya Evans and Wesley Thomas; parents, Kenneth and Judy Thomas of Piedmont; sister, Trisha Thomas Turner (Donald) of Wellington; brother, Phillip Thomas (Jenny) of Georgia and his caregiver, Amy Lambert. Pallbearers will be Matthew Thomas, Wesley Thomas, Adam Thomas, Phillip Thomas, Andrew Thomas, Donald Turner, Grant Turner and Blaine Cole. Honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Pruitt. Jeff was a lifelong resident of Piedmont and a 1985 graduate of Piedmont High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a great cook and was owner of Jeff's BBQ and catered many events. Jeff had a great personality and was known by his family and friends for his playful antics . He enjoyed dirt track racing, drag racing, working in his yard and fishing. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. He always looked forward spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ola and Ira Jones and Bervul and Lucille Thomas.
