Annie Lou Tierce

Funeral service for Annie Lou Tierce, 88, of Canton, Georgia will be Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fowler officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Paran Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Mrs. Tierce passed away Wednesday at Northside Hospital in in Canton, Georgia. She is survived by her sister, Frances Pruitt of Canton, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brian Pruitt, Robert Benefield, Todd Kessler, Charlie Hilburn, David Pike, and Terry Walker. Mrs. Tierce was a native of Cleburne County and a longtime resident of the Rock Run Community where she was a member of the Pleasant Arbor Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Canton ,Georgia for the past three years. Annie enjoyed doing word search puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was known for her good cooking and sense of humor. Mrs. Tierce was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hershill Tierce; parents, John and Rosie Mae Benefield; three sisters, Christine Benefield, her twin sister,Bobbie Tierce, and Inez Fowler; and two brothers, Herman and Horace Benefield.
