Vonda Louvin Collier

Graveside funeral services for Vonda Louvin Collier, 79, of Brookhaven Georgia will be Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Decon David Wallace officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church. Ms. Collier passed away Tuesday, August 19 2025 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Survivors include her sister Verlene Lee of Tucker, GA; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Ms. Collier was a longtime resident of Brookhaven Georgia. She was a member of the Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church when she lived in Piedmont, Alabama and where she played the piano during services for many years when she went home to visit her family. She attended Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church when living in Atlanta where she volunteered with church functions. She graduated from Roy Webb School and Jacksonville High School where she was active in sports. She received her Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University. She moved to Atlanta after graduation where she held various accounting positions during her tenure at Atlantic Envelope Company (AECO) before her retirement. She enjoyed playing on recreational softball teams, enjoyed music and movies and spending time with friends. She loved sports cars and will always be remembered for driving her "Super Bee". Her favorite hobby was to travel with her friends and family. She traveled to many places in the US as well as Internationally. Greece, Venice Italy and Hawaii were among her favorite trips. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lura Collier; two brothers, Randal Collier and Wynsol Collier; one sister, Voncile Steward; sister in law, Joyce Collier; brother in laws, George Steward and James Lee; as well as several nephews .
