Jeffrey Lynn Valentine, 63, of Cumberland, passed away after 6 long years of battling cancer on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at Frostburg Village Assisted Living Facility, alongside his loving wife.
Born January 13 1961, he was the son of the late Jesse James Valentine and Marion Viola "Johnson" Valentine. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two step sons, John Mark McKenzie Jr. and Kevin Scott McKenzie.
Jeff was a graduate of Mt. Savage High School class of 1979. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he faithfully served for 13 years. He also was an over the road truck driver, bus driver for the Great Falls Transit Service (Montana), and an employee of Walmart as well as Lowe's. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, archery, craft beer brewing, traveling, horses, bull riding, gardening, as well as spending time with his family. He was a member of Cumberland Bowman's Club and attended Calvary Chapel Cumberland.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Connie Sue Lamp-Valentine; sons, Jesse Valentine and wife Desarea Valentine and Steven Valentine and girlfriend, Cheyenne Moomaw; stepchildren, Cassandra Minnick and husband, Brandon Shawna Tannenbaum and husband, Alexander, Randy Tyler and girlfriend, Kyleigh Klahre and Chance Tyler and girlfriend, Keyaria Arbogast; grandchildren, Natalie and Jessie Valentine, Zaria, Liam and Lucas Moomaw, Jaden, Johnya and Jalysa Barrett, Apollo and Artemis Williams, Astrid Minnick, Trenton and Starlet Tannenbaum, and Vance Tyler; best friend, Russ Davis (Montana), his special fishing buddy and brother-in-law, Will Lamp, as well as some special friends, Nancy Thomas (Montana), Cecil Taylor, Penny and Tom Shimer, Ronnie Dillsworth, Diane and Tommy Ravenscroft and special friend and neighbor, who Jeff loved dearly, Peggy Leer. He also leaves behind his beloved pets Buddy and Booger.
A special thanks to the nurses on Fifth Floor High Level Care at UPMC and Schwab Cancer Center.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
