Jeffrey L. Waggoner

Jeff Waggoner, 62, of Glen Carbon, IL (formerly of Granite City), passed away on July 4 – coming into life as a firecracker and leaving with a bang. He will be remembered for his laughter, mischievous nature, sense of humor, and smile. He was an impressive cook and loved to barbeque, having served as a cook in the Army. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping, and riding his Harley. He was formerly employed by Enterprise in Clayton, MO and finished the last year of his career at Dave Sinclair Buick GMC in South County, MO.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kathy (Lutes) Waggoner, his beloved dogs Jax and Izzy and his cat Grace; his brother Mike and his wife Peggy Waggoner of Weldon Springs, MO, Joan Capps of Orange, CA and his sister Pam Garner of Granite City, IL. He had 8 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law Shirley Lutes of Granite City and brother-in-law Rob and Laura Lutes of Collinsville, and his Aunt Sheila and Uncle Dalton Berry of Caseyville, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Massey Waggoner, brothers Joe Sheppard and Roger Gillan, and dad Bryan Waggoner.
The family is grateful for the initial care by the staff of Barnes Hospital and Siteman Cancer Center in MO and his final care at Memorial and Siteman Cancer Center of Shiloh, IL under Dr. Theodore Thomas, and his nurse Alicia Davis.

He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial barbeque will be held in the near future.
