Jeffrey (Jeff) Bryan Whitmer 64, of Grand Rapids Ohio sadly passed away March 5th, 2024. Jeff was born on June 25th, 1959 to Bryan & Wanda Whitmer.
Jeff attended and graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 1977. Jeff and Gail (Miller) met and became high school sweethearts, were married and went on to have three children: Kari (Jacob), Aimee and Ellie. He attended Stautzenberger College where he received his associates degree. He then went on to further his education by getting a certificate in carpentry and attending Hobart School of Welding. He worked and retired as a millwright from Chrysler. Jeff was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio.
Jeff had a deep love for not only his own animals but all of God's creatures. He was the happiest when he was outdoors, whether it was tending to his yard/ garden, feeding the birds or simply riding his golf cart around his property. He would spend as much time as he could outside. Jeff had a love for beautiful sunsets, he would always have us come out to see them and enjoy them together. He would say "you will never see another sunset like this one, better take a picture!."
Jeff was preceded in death by his loving parents, Bryan and Wanda. He is survived by his wife Gail; their three children Kari, Aimee, Ellie and his five beautiful grandchildren: Shelbie, Jasper, Josie, Lillie and Jennings; as well as his brother Jim Whitmer and sister Jean Whitmer.
A celebration of life will be held on May 18th, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Providence Dam Shelter House.
13827 Towpath Trail, Providence Township, OH 43522. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, 7220 Dutch Rd. Waterville, Ohio.
