Jeni Rebecca Douget

Jeni Rebecca Douget, 49, of Dawsonville, GA, went home to be with our Lord on February 9, 2026, and into the loving arms of her daughter, Elise Monet.

Jeni had an infectious smile that would light up a room and a laugh like no other. Her life started on September 16, 1976, in Lake Charles, LA where she resided for many years before moving with her family to Georgia. Although she is now a "Georgia Peach", she will always be first and foremost a "Louisiana Cajun." She had a love for her family like no other, especially her daughter Elise. Let's not forget Jeni's love for Betty Boop and boudin.

Those left to cherish Jeni's memory are her loving mother and bonus dad, Sharon and Jim Tatum; her dad, Gil Douget; her sisters, Jami Crowe and husband, Ryan and Jessica Douget; her brothers, Chris Douget and wife, Claudia and Jason Douget and wife, Ashley; her nieces, nephews, great nephew and one great on the way; along with her loving animals, Stormi and Bandit. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Elise Monet in 2023, and her grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Darby Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home, with Rev. Brad Cooper officiating.
