Jerald D. "Jerry" Hinds, 71 of Russellville, Indiana, passed away September 15, 2025, in Danville, Indiana. The following is an obituary written by his loving family.
Jerry was originally from Pittsboro. He was a graduate of Pittsboro High School in 1973. He attended St. Malachy through 8th grade. He worked for Overnite Transportation as a semi-truck driver, retiring in 2005.
He loved riding his motorcycles with friends, attending different events and festivals, antique cars, fishing, tinkering on his tractors, NASCAR races, watching Colts and Pacers games, and hanging out with friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Pauline (Olinski) Hinds; his brother, Robert E. Hinds; two nieces, Tina Hinds and Penny Endres (Smith).
He is survived by his daughter, Brandi Correa (Jeremiah); two granddaughters, Kendall and Maddy Correa; his sister, Patricia Cales; his nephew, Randy Hinds; his niece, Teresa Wilson (Smith); his great-niece, Amber Wilson; his great-nephew, Joe (wife Tiana) (Cansler) Wilson; and two great-great-nephews, Charlie and Coy Wilson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1pm, Monday, September 22, 2025, in Eric MD Bell Funeral Home, where friends are invited to gather with the family from 12 pm until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in St. Malachy West Cemetery following the funeral.
Memorial gifts are suggested to a favorite charity of the donor's preference.
