Jerald “Jerry” D. Osland, 70, of Sandwich, IL passed away on February 2, 2025. Jerry was born on August 24, 1954 in Sandwich, IL to Donald and Helen (Mihalka) Osland.
Jerry started his career working for Allsteel, he then went on to operate a rental business in downtown Sandwich, which eventually became an excavating business that he owned and operated for over 25 years.
Jerry enjoyed scuba diving and was even an instructor. He also was a fan of the Beatles and he had a love for his 3 dogs, Fred, Ace and Charlie He was a 2 term District 12 DeKalb County Board member , representing Sandwich and surrounding area.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be be held Saturday March 22nd 2025 from 1-5 p.m. at the Sandwich Moose Lodge following a 10 a.m. Graveside service at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Cemetery, Sandwich with Rev. Stevan Saunders officiating
