In the skating community of which Jeremiah was a huge part of, grown men and women cried more than once because of the impact he had on all of us.
His skills, smile and fun-loving ways touched all of us and when he showed up at the rink, he didn`t come to skate, he came to perform.
That performance caused many of us to stop and admire, while the other half simply tried to copy his style.
Having skated since 1966 myself, I can say I never seen anyone that was as complete of a package that he was at such a young age.
He`s been called a legend, and I can say, Yes he was and know J SMOOTH didn`t need a whole lifetime to achieve that status.
Knowing he will never come through the doors of Skate Zone 71 ever again hurts because he will be truly missed.

I´m very saddened that I have to send condolences out for you so soon J. Carter...I really am going to miss your presence when I step foot in the skating rink, I looked forward to watching you perform like it was going to be your last time lacing up. God bless you and your family, you were truly loved by myself and the entire skate family. You put a lifetime memory in my mind and heart, stride in peace Sincerely D. Knight
