Jeremy Fowler Obituary
Published by Legacy on Jul. 29, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremy Raye Fowler, who left this world on July 29, 2025, in the very city where his journey began, Pensacola, Florida. Born on a sunny day on February 6, 1972, Jeremy was a true Floridian, he brought as much sunshine into our lives as the Florida sun itself. He was 53 years old.
Jeremy was the cherished son of Clyde Fowler and Brenda McArthur; and he grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, learning the values of kindness and connection.
On September 17, 1997, Jeremy met the love of his life, Michelle Lynn Lyons. Their bond grew stronger through the years, culminating in two beautiful ceremonies when they married on May 11, 2017, and again on May 11, 2018. This unique celebration of love was a testament to their enduring commitment to one another, a story woven with affection and companionship. They had a long love story filled with laughter, adventure, hardships, and more than a few stories that began with "You won't believe what happened today..." -because with Jeremy, anything was possible!
Jeremy was a devoted father to his sons, Brandon Richardson and Jake Holcomb, and was a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Lila and Devlin Holcomb, with another grandchild expected to join the family on September 3, 2025. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
He had a way with words that could turn the most ordinary of days into epic sagas. He often shared stories of his wildest adventures and when he did, he spoke like he was writing a novel. His stories included great detail, illustrating the scene allowing you to paint the picture in your mind, almost as if you were there experiencing it with him all over again. But it wasn't just words for Jeremy; it was his way of connecting with people.
Jeremy was not just a storyteller; he was a brilliant mind with a mind full of both trivia and scholarly knowledge. Jeremy had a brain full of what we often joked about as useless trivia knowledge. He could answer some of the most unusual, unique, and odd questions presented to him. He was an encyclopedia of scholar knowledge.
He was on the football team and Pensacola High and his love for football continued throughout his life. He was a standout student in the International Baccalaureate program (Commonly referred to as the "IB" Program) at Pensacola High School and held a bachelor's degree in Pre-Law from the University of West Florida. But let's be real-while he could analyze and see every scenario in his head and advise you of what he would do in your shoes, he could also tell you the best fishing spots in town, and that's what made him truly special.
In the game of football, just as in life, Jeremy played with passion and all his heart. He may not have made it to the NFL, but he won the friendship championship in spades! His laughter was contagious, his humor unmatched, and he had a knack for making everyone feel like family, even if you just met him.
His love for music was only matched by his ability to talk for hours on end. His loyalty was unwavering, he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, he was always ready to offer a helping hand or a listening ear. He would drive hundreds of miles across state lines at any hour of the day on a whim to rescue you when you were stranded. It didn't matter what you needed, Jeremy was a loyal friend and someone you knew you could always depend on to be there for you and support you.
He was a fighter. Jeremy battled with cancer head-on for a year and a half. After receiving his cart treatment, he emerged victorious, and he REMAINED 100% cancer-free since September of 2021. He won his battle against cancer.
He tackled life's challenges with the same passion he brought to his many interests, whether it was landscaping, sales, installing heating & air conditioning systems, owning a handy man construction company, dishwashing, or even spending a year at an art show. He was a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic. Yes, he was a jack-of-all-trades, and I must admit, I still have no idea how he managed to work in so many fields without ever getting a "real job"!
Faith was important to Jeremy, and he began his spiritual journey as an altar boy at St. Anne's Catholic Church and was where he celebrated his first wedding anniversary by marrying his wife again in a beautiful ceremony.
Jeremy was known for his zest for life. He had an unquenchable love for music, the beach, and riding his Harley, always seeking adventure and a good time. His infectious laughter and warm spirit brought joy to everyone around him. He was a beacon of light, reminding us all to appreciate life's simple pleasures and to hold our loved ones close.
Jeremy loved the simple pleasures of life: spending time at the beach, fishing, boating, camping, and partying down the river. His love for life was evident in his passion for the outdoors, whether it was fishing, boating, canoeing, or camping. He found joy in the simple pleasures, especially spending time at the beach with family and his beloved dogs.
Jeremy was a true dog whisperer training his furry friends with the precision of a seasoned coach. He had a special bond with each of his furry companions, including Queso, his beloved yellow lab who he sadly lost due to cancer in 2023. His latest dog, Maui, named by our granddaughter Lila, will carry on Jeremy's legacy of love and companionship by her side.
He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Fowler; his two sons, Brandon Richardson and Jacob Holcomb; his grandchildren, Lila and Devlin; his brother, nieces; uncles; aunts; and paternal grandmother as well as a wide circle of friends who all felt the warmth of his spirited personality.
Jeremy was loving, friendly, and passionate, a protective soul with a heart as vast as the ocean. His life was a tapestry of joy, laughter, and love, woven with the threads of his many talents and interests. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man who was truly one of a kind, let us remember him with a smile, for that is undoubtedly what he would have wanted.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Fowler and Brenda Sammon; his paternal grandfather, his beloved aunt, Blanche' and grandparents, Vester and Lennie McArthur; whose spirits will surely welcome him with open arms.

Let's carry his spirit in our hearts, remembering him with smiles, the joy he spread and the light he brought into our lives and the love that will forever linger in our lives.
