Adrian – Jeremy Joseph Long, age 36 of rural Adrian, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Adrian on May 7, 1987, to David Roy, Jr. and Tammy Renee (Williams) Long. On October 13, 2006 Jeremy met the love of his life and on October 31, 2020, he married Tara Wiendl at their home, and she survives. Jeremy has worked for Smith Trucking in Blissfield for the last 15 years as a truck driver, mechanic and farmer.
Jeremy's family describes him as a very hard worker and excellent semi-truck driver. He loved his wife and children dearly, but could be very sarcastic and loved to pick on his son, Zach. He loved to grill, have Sunday dinners with his brother, and throw parties. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July. Jeremy loved to decorate for Christmas and listen to people compliment him how nice his house looked. He loved to deer hunt and this year he had the honor of taking his two youngest Haylee and Bently out and watched them get their first deer. He was so proud of them. Jeremy would rarely been seen without a white monster in his hand. Jeremy was a jack of all trades and would help anyone in need – regardless of whether they had wronged him in the past or not. He would always step-up and help. Jeremy always wanted to make sure everyone had a smile on their face.
Surviving are his wife, Tara; children, Zachary Wiendl, Haylee and Bently Long; parents, David (Sarra)Long and Tammy Long; brothers, David Long and Michael (Cortnee) Long; grandmother, Judy Long; mother-in-law, Faye (Barry) Wiendl; father-in-law, Kenny (Katie) Wiendl; sisters-in-law, Danielle (TJ) Bringman and Lacey (Nick) Downey; nieces and nephews, Levi, Dakota, Brennen, Constance, Logan, Sawyer, and Jaxon Long, Tyler and Zoey Bringman, Jayden and Rylan Saad, Kenley Vial, and baby Downey on the way; brother from another mother, Joe (Lori) Baker; and his employers and long-time friends, Henry and Steve Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David Long, Sr., and Ray and Judy Williams.
Visitation for Jeremy will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bruce Jewett, officiating. Cremation will follow services. There will be a time of food and fellowship following the service at the Morenci Sportsman Club.
