Jay was born on April 8, 1970, in Dubuque, IA, and graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1988. He was employed as a truck driver for most of his working years. Jay had a deep appreciation for automotive beauty and was the proud owner of a 2003 Ford Mustang, affectionately known as his "girlfriend". He could often be found outdoors, whether at a concert, airshow, or spending time on the water. He will be remembered for his love of the musical group Lynyrd Skynyrd and his kindness. He was always quick with a funny joke and loved the people closest to him deeply.
Jay is survived by his mother, children, cousins, other family members, and many friends.
A celebration of Jay's life is being planned for the near future.
