Jerleane Kay Poché, born on May 15, 1947, in Malad City, Idaho was sent to her eternal home on January 6,2025 , in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 77. She was the beloved wife of the late Glen Ray Poché and the daughter to the late Francis Frederick Mitchell and the late Josh Mitchell. She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Kay, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion for her family, and her joyful spontaneous attitude. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Kay is survived by her loving son, Josh Poché, (wife Mandy Mae Poché); Stepchildren, Wade (wife Lou) and Jennifer (husband Joey); her brother Ray Mitchell; and sisters Barbara Watts and Edna Mae Cozzone. Kay also leaves behind her grandsons Kollin Poché, Konner Poché, and Camdyn Populis; Step-grandchildren Ashlyn, Matthew, Lauren, Morgan; and her great-grandson Kobee Poché. Kay also leaves behind many step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members that she loved dearly.

Kay traveled all over the states with her parents growing up. She worked as a property manager for over 20 years. Her love was riding horses and later years after retirement spending time with her husband, grandchildren and friends.

Those who knew Kay will remember her for her infectious smile, her overwhelming laughter, her way of seeing the good in people and unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Jerleane’s name.
