Jerome Francis Kempe, a devoted member of the Indianapolis community and cherished family member, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on January 13, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerome lived a life marked by dedication, service, and an unwavering passion for his interests.

Jerome had a distinguished career with International Harvester / Navistar, where he worked for 31 years and retired as a foreman, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence that earned him the respect of his colleagues. His military service in the U.S. Army further reflected his dedication to his country, which he carried with pride throughout his life.

A member of St. Mark Catholic Church, Jerome was a man of faith who fostered a sense of community and belonging. His engaging personality extended beyond work and faith; he was known for his love of fishing, enjoying warm days spent outdoors, and taking joy in nurturing his garden. An avid sports fan, Jerome passionately supported the New York Yankees, Notre Dame, and the Indiana Fever, often sharing spirited discussions about their performances. The simple pleasures of ice cream and the companionship of animals brought him great happiness, further highlighting his kind-hearted nature.

Jerome is survived by his beloved sister, Helene Williams, and a host of nieces and nephews: Jay Condon, Nickolas Condon, Michelle Ramos, Madelyn Lemons, and Michael Williams. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Condon.

In his later years, Jerome received loving care from his caregivers, John and Paula Corsaro, who supported him with warmth and kindness, reflecting the love he shared with those around him.
