Jerome (Jerry) Muras, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2023.
He was the son of Loretta and Harry Muras, born in Gary, Indiana. He served as altar boy at Holy Angels in Gary.
He graduated from Emerson High School and immediately entered the job market with U.S. Steel; during that time he was inducted into the U.S. Army and served two years in Korea. After retirement from U.S. Steel marketing, he resided in Imperial Terrace, FL where he served as president for many years and made many new and lasting friendships. He was an avid golfer.
Three years ago he was honored to be selected to go on the U.S. Honor flight to Washington D.C.
He was predeceased by his sisters: Rosemary, Phyilis, Lorraine and brother: George.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Andrea Muras and grandson, Daniel Muras, of Floral Park, NY and his wife, Sandra Hise-Muras and many beloved nieces and nephews. Private interment will be in Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, FL.

I was sorry to hear of Jerry´s passing. My husband and I met Jerry many years back at The Maverick Resort while vacationing. We had great conversation and enjoyed each others company. Our condolences to Sandy and his family.
