Jerrell Wayne Williams was born on February 11,1951 to the late James Thomas Williams & Pearlie Mae Brooks Willliams. He transitioned from his earthly home on March 18, 2025, at UNC Hospital.
He attended Chatham County Public School System. Jerrell joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Siler City at an early age. In 1977 he married his lifelong sweetheart, Betty Williams.
He enjoyed being the best at anything he did. You could always find him somewhere hunting, fishing and or riding horses until his health prevailed.
He was employed with the Town of Siler City for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas & Pearlie Mae Williams Brooks, Stepfather James Worth Brooks, brother Parker Williams, Sister Alice Williams & Earlene Joyce, daughter Wendy Stanford & Son In Law Anthony Stanford.
He leaves to cherish him in memory his Wife Betty Williams of 48 years; son Dammian Williams (of the home); four Sisters Patricia Williams (devoted friend Donald Brockett) of Hyattsville, MD, Brenda Tenant of Siler City, Annette Cheek (Rudolph) of Siler City, NC and Stephana Farrar of Siler City NC; one brother, Thurl Williams of Greensboro, NC; five Grandchildren Monique, Toni, Audrey, Damya, and DeAntaye; three special grandsons Justin, Cedric & Daniel. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and loved Ones. All his fishing buddies and spiritual friend Tanner Morgan.
