The family is hosting a funeral service that will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Fort Mill Church of God. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Born in Lancaster, SC, Jerry was the son of the late Robert Mack Boatwright and Annie Louise Giles Boatwright He was a maintenance manager at Georgia Pacific. He enjoyed hunting, racing and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Simons Boatwright; his children, Christopher Scott Boatwright, Cheryl Dawn Fite (Kevin Jack Fite), Autumn Danielle Ashley; siblings, Virginia Chapman, Faye Boatwright, Joyce Fultz, Terry Boatwright; grandchildren, Callie Tapley, Justin Fite, Brandon Fite, Halley Boatwright, Thomas Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Rhiannon Tapley, Cooper Fite and Bentley Fite.
Memorial may be made to: Fort Mill Church of God.
