Born in Euclid, OH, she was the daughter of the late Steve Andrew Grubisa and Evelyn May Martin Grubisa. She was a graduate of Ball University where she received her master's degree in biomechanics and movement education, and she also went to Ohio University where she received her bachelor's degree in dance and fine arts. She was an entrepreneur, owning and operating several different businesses in the service industry. She enjoyed everything outdoors, she was an NRA instructor and spent over 20 years scouting. She also loved dancing, where she learned and taught studio dance.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Brian Thomas Wright and her son Alexander Lee Wright.
