Henry Louis Gieser of Fort Mill, South Carolina passed away on October 1, 2025. Henry was born on April 18, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He was a 1955 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and a 1959 graduate of Miami University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and met the love of his life, Margaret. Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Margaret (McClughen) Gieser; by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth (Nicholas) Gieser; and brother, George Gieser. He is survived by his children, Mary (Michael) McCandless, Peggy (Byron) Nesbit, David (Ann) Gieser. His grandchildren called him Pop Pop and were the joy of his life: Meghan (Joe) Goering, Stephanie (Shane) Basen, Dylan (Jordan) Kwaiser and David (Ashley) McCandless, Christina, Edward (Annie) Nesbit, Tyler Nesbit, Luke Gieser and Maran Gieser. He was blessed to enjoy 13 great grandchildren. Henry enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing working for Dixie Marathon, which was later acquired by American Can, and then Georgia Pacific - running the national sales division for commercial paper products for the food industry. With each new promotion, Henry and Margaret moved around the country and made lifelong friends in many locales. Henry invested time and created memories with his family traveling on cruises, beach trips, visits to amusement parks, and road trips around the United States. He attended all the graduation ceremonies of his grandchildren, numerous ball games, competitions, recitals, weddings and births. His children call him the Best Dad Ever. Most important of all, Henry loved the Lord and is now rejoicing in Heaven with his Savior and has reunited with his beloved Margaret. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18 at 11:00 AM at Saint John's United Methodist Church 130 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29715. Visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall with the family.
