JoAnn Wilson Becknell

JoAnn Wilson Becknell, age 84, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Levine and Dickson Aldersgate. The family is hosting a funeral service that will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Johns United Methodist Church. The burial will conclude at Unity Cemetery. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Hughbarr Wilson. She was a graduate of Fort Mill High School class of 1958 and was an employee of Rock Hill Hospital and Rippy's Auto Exchange. She enjoyed spending time with the Pearls, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved going shopping and travelling with her husband to the beach and mountains. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Crescent Shrine Club of Rock Hill, SC and she also served as an assistant preschool teacher at Unity Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband, James P. Becknell Jr. (Buddy); her children, James P. Becknell III (Jennifer), Jodie Becknell; siblings, Bill Wilson (Diane), Dennis Wilson (Kathy); grandchildren, Kaitlyn Chapman (William), Garrett Becknell (Ashton), Carly Blakley (Jason); and great-grandchildren, Weston and Blaine Chapman.
