Jerry Max Daugherty, 85, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, in Neosho. Born April 1, 1939, in Stella, Missouri, he was the son of the late Cecil and Estellah (Cook) Daugherty.
Jerry was a proud 1957 graduate of Neosho High School and went on to serve in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1963. He retired as the manager of parts and accessories from Honda Motor in Irving, Texas, where he worked for many years. Jerry found great joy in living a simple life and cherished the time spent with his family. He was especially close to his brothers and sisters and their children, all of whom he adored.
An avid lover of nature, Jerry enjoyed landscaping his yard, attending sports games, and taking daily walks. However, his favorite time of year was when he could travel home to Missouri for the annual Daugherty Family Reunion, a tradition he held dear.
Jerry is survived by his brothers Robert "Bob" Daugherty of Neosho, Missouri, and James "Jim" (Trudy) Daugherty of Kansas City, Kansas, along with numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as siblings Jack Daugherty, Jean Robertson, Nell Goostree, Mary Popadiuk, Shirley Lundstrom, and Ted Daugherty.
A visitation will be held January 16, 2025 at 9:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home – Chapel Of Memories in Neosho, Missouri followed by a funeral service at 10:00AM. Larry Shumaker will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at Neosho IOOF cemetery in Neosho, Missouri following the service.
