Jerry Nelson Goode, 81, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, in Olive Branch. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, February 5, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. The interment will be held at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Mike Hixson and Jared Rhodes of Olive Branch Church of Christ will officiate.

Jerry was born on February 18, 1944, in Mobile, Alabama, and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He later made his home in Olive Branch, where he spent many years building not just a life, but a legacy of faith, service, and quiet skill.

A gifted and determined problem-solver, Jerry worked for many years repairing electronics, televisions, and computers. He was also a talented carpenter who could build or fix almost anything. Whether it was a project around his own home or lending a helping hand at his children's houses, Jerry rarely met something broken that he didn't believe he could repair himself.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969, attaining the rank of Specialist Fifth Class.

Above all, Jerry loved his God. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Olive Branch Church of Christ, where his steady presence and sincere faith reflected the way he lived his life-quietly, humbly, and with purpose.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sherry Goode; his grandson, Jonah Flores; and his parents, Leonard and Ruby Goode.

Jerry is survived by his three children: Michael Goode (Juli), Cynthia Warren (Walter), and Vicky Flores (Joel); his sisters, Peggy Martin and Debbie Shull (Jeff); seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren who were a source of great joy to him.

Jerry will be remembered for his steady hands, his willingness to help, his deep faith, and the love he showed his family through actions more than words. His presence will be greatly missed, but his influence will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

In honor of Jerry Goode's service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home on the day of the services.
