He was born in Clinton, Indiana on September 11, 1953, to Jerry Hastings Sr. and Rita Reynolds who precede Jerry in death. Also, preceding Jerry in death are his brother Rick Hastings and sister Donna Hastings.
Jerry is survived by his son Scott Hastings (Crystal); daughters Misty Hastings and Chynia Kirkman (Dusty); brothers Terry Hastings (Sara), James Hastings (Bonnie) and Randy Hastings (Cathy); sisters Michelle Tincher (Rick), and Marilyn Mohler (Dennis); grandchildren Mackenzie Goodman (Josh), Katelynn Monday (Leeman), Paige Hastings, Chylinn West (Donnie), Austin Staggs, Jordan Matzke, Emi Parrish, Kane and Allen; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Frist Funeral Home on Monday October 14, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Barns officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to go toward getting a monument for Jerry.
