With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son Jerry Wayne Jeffries, Jr (42) of Durham on September 25, 2025. Jerry was born June 18, 1983 to Jerry Wayne Jeffries, Sr and Lelia Emory Jeffries.

Jerry was a kind, energetic, and loving person that always had a smile for everyone he met, he never knew a stranger, everyone was like family to him. He was the life of the party with a great sense of humor. He was not the best dancer but was never embarrassed to get out on the dance floor anyway. Jerry was willing to help anyone in need. He loved making sure he looked good, classic cars, country music, and spending time with his girls (dogs).

Left to remember him are his parents Jerry Wayne Jeffries, Sr (Cindy); mother, Leila Emory Jeffries (Donnie Robbins); special friend, Taryn Knox; grandparents, Johnnie and Jean Jeffries; sister, Alexis Gonzalez; niece, Abigail Gonzalez; nephew, Maddox Gonzalez. Predeceased by maternal grandparents, Ray and Rosalee Emory.

He is also survived by uncles and aunts, Tony (Lisa); Stevie (Shelia); Dwight; Bubbie; aunts Wanda; Cindy; many cousins, and friends who adored him. His generous spirit and radiant smile will be deeply missed. He will be forever remembered by all that met him.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a future date. We invite all who knew him to share their favorite memories.
