Mr. Lackey was a native of Munford, AL and a graduate of Munford High School. He was pastor at His Answer Ministries Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and writing gospel songs.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Alice Lackey; daughter, Sandra Strickland (Tony); grandchildren, Phalon Johnson (Caleb), Khason Lackey, Zack Strickland, Noah Strickland (Kayla), Manny Strickland, Seth Strickland (Reanna) and Tabby Strickland; great grandchildren, Harrison, Cleo, Charlie, Emmeline, Elise, and Emberlyn.
He is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Joseph Lackey.
Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is assisting the family.
