Jerry T. McClure

Jerry T. McClure, 83, of Georgetown passed away on November 21st, 2025. He was born on November 22nd, 1941, in Frankfort to the late Henry Thomas McClure and Marguerite Cubertson McClure. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also served as a firefighter and paramedic for 29 and a half years. He also worked as a school bus driver for 16 years, at Alliance Insurance Agency, and an umpire and referee for various sports for 30 years. He was the Chief of the Shawnee Indian Tribe for 30 years and a Native American storyteller for the Richmond Powwow during those years. Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Johnnie Burkhart McClure; three children; one brother; numerous grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. a 2pm funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Road. Visitation will be from 1pm until the time-of-service Sunday at the funeral home. burial will be Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery, Harlan, KY.
