Jerry Orr Obituary

Jerry was born in Grand Rapids, MI on a cold winter night December 24, 1956, to Jack & Jane Orr.
(He always reminded us that he got cheated on birthday gifts because he was born Christmas eve.)
Jerry played the saxophone in the band and graduated with his sister Jenny from Elk Rapids High in 1976. He loved to fish and hunt with his brother Jim -oh the tales they could tell. They enjoyed bowling competitions in Vegas and were always trying to score the big "300" game. Jerry loved spending time with his sons, Jeramiah & Mitchell, motorcycling & snowmobiling on the trails of pure Michigan. He loved his mama's cooking and would drop anything to help her. He was loved and adored by sisters Jenny, Jo, and Julia. Jerry could fix almost anything and was always quick to lend a hand, make you laugh, share a story, and live life to the fullest with his adventurous and fun-loving spirit. Jerry & Mitchell continued the legacy of winning the annual horseshoe tournament like his dad (Jack Orr-Deceased). He enjoyed many great adventures with his girlfriend Stacy King who made him feel so happy and loved.
Jerry retired from Elk Rapids School District after serving 20 years as a bus driver & mechanic.
He became the proud owner of Camp M'Orr campgrounds in Kalkaska in 2012.
In the Summertime he drove Semi-Trucks for the Great Lakes Packing Company.
He is survived by: Mother: Jane Orr, Sons: Jeramiah (Tabitha) Orr, Mitchell (Lisa) Orr, Brother: James (Linda) Orr, Sisters: Jenny Lou Feller, JoAnne (Warren) Root, Julia (Joe) Davenport and many adoring nieces, nephews and extended family members who brought so much joy to his life and whom he loved dearly.
Please continue to pray for his girlfriend Stacy who was also injured in the accident.
Jerry was born with a naturally sweet, kind, and generous soul. He had a heart of gold and a big smile for everyone, always. He will remain in our hearts where his earthly presence will be forever missed.
