Jerry Ray Savage, 71, left this world peacefully on September 2, 2025, after a 3 year courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 8, 1953 in Peoria, Illinois. and was the son of Harold and Edna Savage.
Jerry went to school in Hopedale, Illinois, graduating in 1971, before moving to Bloomington, Illinois, then Farmington, Missouri, where he worked at the local winery.
Jerry was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he found joy in the peacefulness of the water and the thrill of the big catch. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his enthusiasm for old cars and motorcycles, which he not only admired, but also loved to repair. Known among his friends as an "avid Antique Picker", Jerry had an eye for treasures of the past, often sharing stories of his finds and the history behind them.
He is survived by his sisters; Rhonda (Lawrence) Thompson of Ames and Tina (Bruce) Carroll of Colfax, IL, as well as his brothers; David (Jan) Savage of Bloomington, IL and Stephen (Tom Champagne) Savage of San Diego, CA. Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved parents Edna and Harold Savage.
May Jerry Ray Savage rest in light and eternal peace, free from pain, with the Lord. His spirit will always be remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
