On Wednesday February 12th 2025, Jerry Weintraub of New York City and Potomac Maryland, beloved husband of 54 years to
Betsy Endervelt Weintraub; devoted father to Danielle Goldberg (Dave) and Erica Weintraub; loving brother of the late Martin Weintraub; cherished grandfather of Matthew, Lindsey, Brooke and Maxine; beloved uncle of Adam Weintraub and family, sadly passed away.
Born in the Bronx on August 26th 1942, to Morris and Annette (nee Weinrib) Weintraub, he spent his childhood in the Bronx and formative years in Bayside Queens. Jerry received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from NYU and then served in the Army National Guard before joining his dad in the Book Binding business.
Jerry became a longtime leading member of the Graphic Arts/Book Binding Industry in New York and New Jersey and then went on to have accomplishments in other endeavors successfully.
Known for his affability, sense of humor and witty one liners, he always left a lasting impression: unforgettable. He will also be remembered for his extraordinary warmth, generosity and kindness.
His family is profoundly proud of his most natural role as a mensch; his sense of integrity and honor was truly remarkable. Having had a deep distaste for show offs, he would think all of this praise was barfy.
Funeral services will be held at Temple Beth Ami in Rockville, MD on Sunday Feb. 16th at 2:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Coral Reef Alliance.
