Jerry Matthew Wixon, 65, of Temple, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Kim A. (Guldin) Wixon, with whom he shared 38 years of marriage on June 20th.
Matt, a son of the late Gerald H. and Dorothy (Youndt) Wixon, was born in Reading. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Nicholas M. Wixon, and Cole M. Wixon; and a brother, Michael A. Wixon.
Matt was a 1978 graduate of Wilson Senior High School. He along with his brother were the vice presidents and helped operate the family business, Wixon's Bakery. He also worked at the Manor Golf Course after retiring from the bakery.
He enjoyed sports, especially watching the Eagles, Notre Dame Football, and racing, and playing golf. He loved being outside and gardening, doing puzzles, and playing games with his family.
At Matt's request there will be no services. Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville, is handling arrangements.
Matt loved animals, in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, or the American Heart Association.
