Jerry Wayne Wyss, 74 of Mexico died Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.
Family and friends are invited to Jerry's Life Celebration Service 11:00 AM Monday, April 14, 2025, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born on October 30, 1950, in Mexico the son of William Earl and Frances Marie (Johnson) Wyss.
Jerry was a 1969 graduate of Mexico High School. After graduation, Jerry served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War.
Jerry also served in the National Guard.
Jerry is survived by his brother, Kenneth Wyss and wife Marie of Mexico, his step-mother, Nancy Wyss of Mexico, niece Sherry Sheely and husband Greg of Columbia, nephew, Kenneth Wyss, Jr. of Midway; great-nieces, Nicole Meador and Ashley Prior and husband Isaih; great-great-niece, Addy Meador; step-brother, Keith Davenport of Mexico, step-sister, Deborah Smith and husband Gary of Georgia.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3772, DAV, Missouri National Guard, and the NRA.
Jerry loved cars, visiting people, and was truly proud of his service to his country.
Memorial donations are Wreaths Across America and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
