Jerzy "Jurek" Jakubowski ObituaryJerzy "Jurek" Jakubowski of South River, suddenly passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. He was 61 years old.
Born in Poland to the late Jozef and Kazimiera Jakubowski, Jerzy immigrated to the United States with his parents and siblings in 1966, settling in South River, where he had lived for nearly 50 years. He was previously employed as a forklift operator for Volkswagen of America, Inc. He was also a parishioner of St. Mary of Ostrabrama RC Church in South River. Jerzy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jurek is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Beth Jakubowski, by his parents, and by his sister Kazimiera Naglik.
Surviving is his dear son Jason Jakubowski of East Brunswick; his siblings and their spouses Krystyna and Joseph Staszak of South River and Andrzej and Ana Jakubowski of Spotswood; his nieces Margaret, Donna, Dorothy, Maggie, and Sylvia; his great-nephews Donnie, Eric, George, Hayden, Timmy, Robbie, and Julius; and his great-nieces Natalia, Alyssa, and Melina.
All services are private under the direction of M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave, South River, NJ.
