Jesus Eduardo Gonzalez Perez, 73, husband of Maria Virginia Gonzalez de Gonzalez, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, he was a son of the late Alberto Gonzalez and the late Josefina Perez de Gonzalez.
He was a dedicated commercial pilot for 45 years, with a lifelong passion for the skies that extended to flying remote control planes in his free time. When he wasn't in the air, he found joy and peace in fishing and spearfishing — always drawn to the water as much as to the clouds.
In addition to his loving wife of 43 years, Jesus is survived by his sons, Andres Gonzalez (Maria) and Marcos Gonzalez (Stefanie), both of Easley; and a daughter, Maria Virginia Gonzalez (Luis) of FL; as well as his 7 grandchildren, 5 princesses, Elissa, Lia, Luna, Ema, Sabrina and 2 princes, Camilo and Luis Felipe; and his siblings, Arturo, Alberto, Alfredo, Armando, Hernan, and Mercedes Gonzalez.
The family will host a private memorial at a later date.
