Jesse M. Amaro

Jesse M. Amaro, age 69, of Victoria, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2025. Born on June 23, 1955, in Victoria, Jesse lived a life rooted in compassion, service, and dedication to others.
After so many years in the manufactured housing business, he became an educator; Jesse touched countless lives through his work as a teacher. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his steady guidance, and the wisdom he freely shared. Jesse had a quiet strength and a deep love for his family, his community, and his loyal companion, Mojo, who preceded him in death.
Jesse is survived by his loving father, Pablo Amaro Sr.; his devoted son, Nathan Amaro; and his treasured grandchildren, Seth and Averi, along with his great-grandchildren, Kanelo and Armani Amaro. He also leaves behind his siblings: Natalie Galindo, Angie Vargas (Tony), Isabel Amaro Easley (Rex Jr.), Juan Amaro, Richard Amaro (Emily), and Paul Amaro Jr. (Linda), all of Victoria, Texas. Although Jesse was the father of only one child, Nathan, his life was enriched by the love of many nieces, nephews, extended family, students, friends, and his beloved dog Buddy.
He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Mendez Amaro; his cherished sister, Beatrice "Bea" Ordonez; his two brother in laws Albert Ordonez Sr. and Julian Galindo Sr., and his faithful dog Mojo,
Pallbearers honoring Jesse's memory will be Joe Amaro, Stephen Amaro, Daniel Galindo Sr., Julian Galindo Jr., Jaime Vargas, Sean Vargas, Luther Easley, and Seth Amaro. Honorary pallbearers are Armani Amaro, Kanelo Amaro, and Angel Amaro.
Visitation will be held at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume at Santisima Trinidad (Holy Trinity)Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 8:15 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM. Jesse will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
Jesse's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
