Jesse Steven Gabaldon

February 12, 1973 – February 4, 2023
Jesse Steven Gabaldon, 49, of Sunset, Utah, passed away February 4, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. He was born in Ogden, Utah, to Gilbert and Toni Gabaldon on February 12, 1973. Jesse was raised in Sunset with two older sisters, when combined, were like a second mom. He was rambunctious and enjoyed much fun with his cousins and friends.
Jesse attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary and was an Altar Boy for St. Joseph Catholic Church. He attended Clearfield High School, where he developed lifelong friendships. His childhood was an idyllic time in his life, which he recalled fondly. He married Mercedes Flores but later divorced; however, the two remained friends.
Jesse built a career working within Lifetime Products Distribution Center and Levolor Blinds.
His hobbies included: fishing, camping, playing golf and watching his favorite football team "The Las Vegas Raiders", with numerous friends.
Jesse was a father and grandfather. He had an incredible memory and told entertaining stories, sometimes with a hint of exaggeration. In his last few days, he shared memories from throughout his life, as well as a particular dream where he was fishing with his dad, he really liked that dream.
He is survived by his dear mom, Toni Gabaldon; His sisters: Linda ("Cat") Puente; Cindy ("Oz") Osborne. His children: Dominique (Karina), Alex, Kayla, Devin, Demetri, and Gabriella. His loving companion, Serita Owens. His grandchildren: Devin, Jayceon, Lucas, Ezekiel, Ayden, Julianna and a grandson just born February 8th. He is also survived by beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and most of all his dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his cherished father, Gilbert Gabaldon; his sister, Maria; his baby daughter, Lily; his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Care Facility.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 S. 3900 W., West Haven, Utah. Holy Rosary will be recited at the church prior to the Mass at 10:30 AM.
