Jesse Gellatly Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 9, 2024.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Jesse Brian Gellatly, who departed this life to be with his Heavenly Father on June 14, 2024, at the age of 39. Jesse was a cherished son, devoted husband, loving father, and treasured friend to thousands around the world.

Jesse's life was marked by his unwavering faith and dedication to sharing the love of Jesus Christ. He actively engaged in ministry work globally, touching countless lives with a message of hope and salvation as he traveled to over 55 countries, including devoting 3 years to sharing the Gospel in many small villages throughout Mozambique.

Before moving to Crossville, Tennessee last fall, Jesse spearheaded a ministry to feed the homeless in Vancouver, Washington, demonstrating his deep commitment to serving others. His love for Jesus was evident in every aspect of his life, inspiring many with his genuine compassion and steadfast faith. Jesse will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Kayla Gellatly, and his seven children: Zoe (14), Tyrone (12), Zion (11), Autumn (10), Zuriel (8), Lily (5), and Jeremiah (1). He also leaves behind his parents, Brian and Dani Gellatly, and his siblings: Joseph (Bonnie) Gellatly of Spokane, WA, David Gellatly of Venice, FL, Isaiah Gellatly of Longview, WA, Daniel Gellatly of Vancouver, WA, Gloria (Tim) Ober of Puyallup, WA, Levi (Huong) Gellatly of Vancouver, WA, and Grace Gellatly of Portland, OR. Jesse's paternal grandmother, Aileen Gellatly of Vancouver, WA, and 13 nieces and nephews also survive him.

A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Friday, July 26th at 1:00 pm at Living Hope Church, 2711 NE Andresen Rd, Vancouver.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an account set up in Jesse's memory to help provide support and stability for Kayla and the children during this difficult time:
