Jesse Allen Mendoza, a resident of Madisonville, Louisiana, passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 54. He was born in Metairie, Louisiana, on June 14, 1971.
Jesse is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily Mendoza; his former wife, Elise Rosato; his father, James Hamilton Mendoza, Sr.; his mother, Catherine Markey Mendoza; his brother, James Mendoza, Jr. (Tricia); and his sister, Anna Mendoza Roth (Matt). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Jesse dedicated many years of his life to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, where he took great pride in serving his community as a deputy. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his kind spirit, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. Jesse had a rare gift for making others smile, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was an avid fisherman who found peace and happiness on the water and outdoors. Above all, Jesse’s greatest source of pride and joy was his daughter, Emily, with whom he treasured every moment.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
