Obituary of Jesse Henry Shetter, Jr
Jesse was born on October 28, 1940, to Katie and Henry Shetter in Fort Worth, Texas.
He graduated into Glory peacefully on May 24, 2024, at the age of 83 surrounded by his family.
He attended Northside High School, A& M and Texas Wesleyan College.
His careers included Fort Worth Policeman, Director of Purchasing at Harris Hospital. He worked for several other companies selling office systems. His last job was as a salesperson at Ofco furniture where he retired at age 73.
He met and married his wife, Diane, while she was working in Purchasing. They were married for 48 wonderful years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as a young man. He loved football, old westerns, country, and gospel music. He even said he wanted to be a cowboy.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and even a great grandfather.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Diane; daughters, Julie Nunez, Jill Peters and husband Mark, Jessica Reed, and Kristi Muchow and husband Scott; grandchildren, Brandon Nunez, Dawson Nunez, Macy Nunez, Lauren Peters, Noah Peters, Colby Bainbridge, Jackson Reed, and Joey Shetter; great grandchildren, Oakley Nunez, Sadie Nunez; and nephews, Mike and Greg Penkert and their children.
He is preceded in death by his newborn daughter; parents (Katie and Henry); sister and brothers-in-law's (JC and Jackie Penkert).
