With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jessie Lou (Nelms) Crimm, who peacefully departed this life in the early hours of March 4, 2025, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born March 1, 1939, in Rylie, Texas to Rev. John Leonard Nelms and Dessie Jane (Bush) Nelms.
Jessie found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments spent outdoors camping, engaging in sports, and exploring new places. Her deep affection for animals, particularly dogs, was a testament to her gentle spirit. Above all, her unwavering love for her family and her profound faith in God were the cornerstones of her existence.
Jessie was greeted in Heaven by her Soulmate James; parents, Reverend John and Dessie Nelms; mother and father-in-law, Helen and Ervin Crimm; brother-in-law, Don; brothers, James Nelms, Carl Nelms and wife Fern; sister, Joy and husband, Jim; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
Jessie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, which will be forever held dear by her sons, James Crimm, John Crimm and wife Cecilia; daughter-in-law Teresa; grandchildren, Jeremy and wife Melissa, Jessica, Gregory, and Brittany and husband Jacob; great-grandchildren, Elisea, Tabitha, Karlee, and Jaxon; sisters, Amber and Tonya and husband Mike; sister-in-law Mary, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Throughout her life, Jessie embraced each moment with gratitude, finding strength in her unwavering faith during times of hardship. Her laughter and the stories she shared, as well as her attentive ear for the stories of others, will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
