Mr. Jessie Bryant Wynn, age 89, of Mebane, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at UNC Hospital of Hillsborough after a brief illness.
A native of Orange County, he was the son of the late Ollie Vernon Wynn and the late Beulah Hatch Wynn and was married for 63 years to the late Vivian Gray Neal Wynn, who passed in 2020. He refinished furniture with Craftique in Mebane and retired after 57 years of service. Jessie was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Christian Church and enjoyed woodworking and yardwork, but mostly loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mr. Wynn is survived by his daughter, Kathy Flake (Butch); three grandchildren, Olivia Chilton (Matt), Landon Wheeler, and Jeff Dodson (Tina); four great grandchildren, Andrew Chilton (Jessica), Andrea Chilton (fiancé, Tyler Conyers), Shyanne Curtin and Jesse Dodson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a daughter, Vicky Wynn Dodson; and three brothers, Walter, Lessie (his twin) and Tommy Wynn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Don Pegg. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
