IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jettie Ruth Keen, age 94, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, in Fort Smith. She was born on March 27, 1931, in Branch, Arkansas, to Benjamin and Jessie Robinson. Jettie was a dedicated employee of James River/Dixie Cup, where she worked for 33 years. Known for her vibrant personality and love for people, she had a special gift for caring for others. Her hobbies reflected her nurturing spirit and included camping, gardening, quilting, cooking, baking, and canning. An avid traveler, Jettie was always planning her next adventure-her last trip being to New York.
A woman of deep faith, Jettie was a devoted member of the Roland Church of Christ for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Debi Collins-Scharf, Eva English-Poole, and Edna English; sons, Glynn English, Charles "Charlie" English, and Dan Lee Keen; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Among them were Thom and Van Nguyen, who considered her a second mother.
Jettie was preceded in death by her daughter, June Robinson; her parents, Ben and Jessie Robinson; her spouses, Delbert Collins, Junior N. English, and R.C. Keen; her sister, Rosie Polk; and five brothers, Elzie, Odis, Elmer, Cecil, and Robert Robinson. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the River Glenn Chapel, 1805 North A Street, Fort Smith. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Glynn English, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Lowes Creek Cemetery on Oak Bend Road in Branch, Arkansas.
Jettie will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her. A meal will be served at Jettie's home after the graveside service.
