Jill Fleenor Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 28, 2025.
Jill Alice Fleenor, 83, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 25th. She was a woman of gentle wit and tireless dedication to those she loved and the community at large. Known for her smart mind, compassionate heart, and sense of humor, Jill was a beacon of support to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She spent her life in the service of others, particularly within her community in Noblesville, Indiana, where she resided for many years. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
Jill's journey was one marked by resilience and grace. She was born on Sunday, November 9, 1941, to Wilson and Myrna Barr in Neenah, WI. On September 24, 1988, she married her soulmate, Jim Fleenor, and together they built a life filled with love and laughter. She brought her intelligence and caring spirit to her role as Director of Volunteer Services at Riverview Hospital, where she positively impacted countless lives. Upon her retirement, she continued to contribute to her community as an active member of the Moose Lodge in Noblesville, the Cicero American Legion, and the First Christian Church.
Outside of her professional and community endeavors, Jill found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid two-stepper, a fierce Bingo competitor, and a Euchre enthusiast, often engaging in friendly games with family and friends. She loved traveling, visiting family in Wisconsin and Michigan, and tending a bountiful tomato garden. Above all else, Jill cherished her family, dedicating her life to creating a nurturing, supportive environment for her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Fleenor; her children, Cathy (Jeff) Blackford, Mike (Wally Petersen) Tischleder, and Jeff (Anne Gudith) Tischleder; her step-son, Chris (Tina) Fleenor; her grandchildren, Dylan Tischleder, Zach (Laura Chudnoff) Tischleder, Emma Blackford, and Logan Blackford; great-grandchildren Seth and Ari Tischleder, and several, much loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jerry Barr; and her sisters; Judy Stolzman and Jolene Bollerman.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, located at 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, Indiana. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jill's memory be made to the Riverview Hospital Foundation.
In honor of Jill's remarkable life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Your stories will serve as a tribute to her enduring spirit and the love she shared with us all.

Aunt Jill was a very special person. She was loved and will be missed. We loved our visits to Noblesville when we were younger. I am so sorry to see her go but find comfort in knowing she is back with her parents and siblings. Sending love and hugs to my cousins-Mike, Jeff and Cathy. Love you all Wendy

So very sorry to hear of Jill's passing. She was my first volunteer manager at Riverview Hospital, and she was just a joy. I liked her from the first time we met when she said to me at my interview for a volunteer position 18 years ago, "Well, you're so young, you'll want to transport!" Her self-deprecating humor -- she would always tell stories on herself at the annual volunteer luncheon -- were so hilarious. I don't know of anyone who was volunteering at that time who did not love Jill. I have missed her these last several years. Many condolences to her family for her loss.
