Jill E. Moore, age 57, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6th, at Marion General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born on March 11, 1966, to the late Andrew Eiseman and Carol Sue (Stiverson) Schmidt, of Marion. After a tragic accident involving her father Andrew, Carol began a relationship with the late Paul Gantt who Jill would affectionately call dad for the remainder of her life. She split her high school career between River Valley High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center, graduating from River Valley High School in 1984.
Shortly after high school, Jill married the late Thomas R. Moore on September 27th, 1985. Together they shared 29 years of marriage and raised two children: Thomas II and Ian. During their years together, they enjoyed going to concerts, taking trips to Cedar Point, attending comedy shows at the Funny Bone, and having game nights with their friends.
Following her husband's unfortunate passing in 2014, Jill and her mother Carol formed a close bond and began a life of adventure together. They traveled throughout the midwest and eastern coast, seeking out as many lighthouses and beaches as they could find. They also enjoyed serving at the Waldo American Legion Post #605. They spent their time there helping organize various events and serving meals to Veterans and their families. When she wasn't on a wild adventure with her mother, she could be found hosting sleepovers, playing games, and doing crafts with her four, beloved granddaughters.
Jill is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas.
Jill is survived by her sons Thomas (Emily) Moore II of Marion and lan (Jen) Moore also of Marion; and her grandchildren Alaina, Gianna, Emberlin and Abigail; sisters: Brenda Eiseman of Alexandria, VA; Jan (Mike) Perry of Ashley, OH; brother Paul (Michelle) Gantt of East Liberty, OH; Nephews: Andrew, Shayne (Marisa), Mitch (Caitlyn), Paul III; Nieces: Brittany, Danielle (Ryan), and Ashley. Great Nieces and Nephew: Evelyn, Adelyne and Oliver.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM at the American Legion Post 605 367 West Main Street Waldo, Ohio 43356.
