A Memorial Service for Mr. Jim Beam, 74, of Anniston, will be 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Golden Springs Baptist Church. Dr. Roland P. Brown and Wilton K. Brantley will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
Mr. Beam passed away September 2, 2025, at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center.
Jim was a man of deep faith who loved God with all of his heart. His life was filled with music, and that passion touched every part of who he was. Above all, he cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son, brother, and friend - always giving freely of his time, encouragement, and love.
A 1970 graduate of Cleburne County High School, Jim served in the National Guard for 10 years and became a beloved member of the Oxford/Anniston community, where he had lived since the mid 70's.
Mr. Beam is preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Helen Gladys Hornsby Beam; his daughter, Emily Beam; a son, David Wyatt; and siblings, Wendell Beam, Gary Beam, Norma Jean Sanders, and Charlotte Johnson.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Rhonda Brantley Beam; two daughters, Carmen Beam Newsom (Reaves) and Maggie Beam; and grandchildren, Capt. Rowland Coyle, USAF, Grant Newsom, Will Newsom, Russell Newsom, and Merrill Voytko.
