Jimmie Gene Farrand, 87, passed away on September 19, 2025, at his home. Jim was born on August 13, 1938, to Eugene and Ethel Farrand in Boonville, IN.

He was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family very much and never missed a chance to tell them how lucky he felt to have them.

He lived a wonderful life full of family, friends, and activities he loved. He was a champion arm wrestler and archer, a field captain for Black Hawk Bowmen for years, and an avid deer hunter. He found great joy in yardwork, firearms, and desserts.

Jim graduated from Boonville High School, where he was a member of the "Hard as nails, tough as bricks, Boonville class of '56," and in his younger years, he was employed by Tin-Herr in Boonville and later traveled working in power line construction. He also worked in multiple positions for Inland Container in Evansville for more than 44 years.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Roberta Farrand; children, Cindy Stovall (Butch), Jeff Farrand (Melissa), and Brian Farrand (Beth); stepsons Mark Frizzell (Peggy) and Rob Frizzell; grandchildren, Katie Poe, Josh Stovall (Ashley), Katie Houghland (Kyle), Hilary Farrand, Cavan and Bryson Farrand; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of AseraCare Hospice and beloved friends who helped Jim in his final months.

In addition to his parents, Eugene and Ethel Farrand, he is preceded in death by his uncle, Bert Williams, Jr.; sister, Vicky Walters; great granddaughter, Stella Mae Stovall; and lifelong friend from childhood, Donald Powers, of Boonville.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Bradley's Colonial Chapel, 1005 E. Main Street, Boonville, IN. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Warrick County Humane Society.
