He enjoyed arrowhead hunting, fishing, going to yard sales and collecting antiques. His biggest joy was spending time with his family at home.
On October 1, 1960 he married Emma Lou Waters. She survives.
He is survived by one son Jimmie (Lisa) Scott, Jr. of Alton, IL; one daughter, Trisha (Walter) Rommel of Broseley, MO; one stepson Robert (Evelyn) Morgan of Fisk and one brother Danny (Bonnie) Scott of Fisk.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren Jimmie D Scott III and Jessica (Shelby) Nolte of Alton, IL, Sierra, Matthew and Adalyn Rommel of Broseley, MO and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, JD was preceded in death by one son; Lawrence Scott, two brothers; Billy Ray Scott and Jerry Scott; one granddaughter Tammy Hall and one great grandson Austin Jennings.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk, Missouri.
