Jimmy Buffkin Jr.

Jimmy Buffkin, Jr. age 52 passed away peacefully at his home on December 24, 2022. Born to Rhonda and Jimmy Buffkin, Sr. on February 21, 1970, in Moran, South Carolina, Jimmy later relocated to Kentucky after marring Tina Jo on December 9, 1996. From that union came two children, Austin James and Zackery Dalton. Jimmy was a proud devoted father, husband, son, son-in-law, and friend. Jimmy was always quick to tell you how proud he was of his children, their latest accomplishments, or just an update on how they were doing. Jimmy and Tina Jo were devoted to one another, through ups and downs throughout their 27 years of marriage. Jimmy adored his mother-in-law, Mona Brock, and was sure to tell you how good she was to him. Jimmy Buffkin was dependable and loyal, if he considered you a friend, there wasn't a better friend to have in your time of need. A quick call to Jimmy, and he was there to help, could tell you who to call, or just listen. Jimmy spent much of his career as an accomplished carpenter. He was known to turn out more work than a crew of ten men. The product of Jimmy's work is hard to miss driving through Madison County. He took pride in his job, and his work was a reflection of that.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, children, mother, mother-in- law, as well as a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Buffkin, Sr., and his father-in-law Douglas Brock. Cremation services will be held on December 31, 2022 at New Heights Church in Berea from 10-12. His sons, Austin and Zachary will conduct services in their fathers honor. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Poynter, Jason McGuire, Robbie Johnson. Shane Bolin, Bill Parker, and Anthony Farthing.
