COX - Jimmy Cecil "Bodie" Cox, age 72 of Monroe, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Haynes Creek Cemetery, 3995 Rosebud Road, Loganville. The family will receive friends from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville. Mr. Cox was a quiet man, always wearing a gentle smile, and never too busy to lend a helping hand. A skilled mechanic by trade, he was also a devoted brother, husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was time spent with his family, especially during cherished days at the beach. He enjoyed gardening and following college football, always loyal to Georgia Tech. His kindness, dedication, and steady presence will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elyse Cox; parents, Ozias and Peggy Cox; and sister, Nancy Cox. Bodie is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Natasha and Christopher Gubash; sons, Justin Cox and Corey Cox; grandchildren, Aidan and Allie Gubash; brothers, Ricky Cox, Gary Cox, Bobby Cox, Terry Cox; and sister, Tammy Wigley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, http://foodbanknega.org/support-us/ a cause Mr. Cox faithfully supported, or to a local food bank of your choice.
